BBC - The Life of the Buddha
Syndicated from: Awakening Soul on Fri, 03/21/2008 - 17:11 syndicated blogsThis is an excellent retelling of Siddhārtha Gautama's life. Admittedly I am often critical of the BBC, but this documentary demonstrates that they can produce quality programming on issues such as faith and identity. It would be great to see a series of these documentaries covering all of the world's religious figureheads.

Middle EastEnders
Syndicated from: Awakening Soul on Thu, 03/20/2008 - 12:20 syndicated blogsI applaud the BBC for attempting a prime-time retelling of The Passion, but as many commentators have already noted in the press, the cosy soap-style acting tends to undermine the whole event making it appear more like Life of Brian than a revolutionary and deeply spiritual moment in human history.
Jesus, The Christian Ideal
