Hyderabad, The Casino of Terror and Mischief in India

Prof Dr Colonel (Retired) K Prabhakar Rao

Hyderabad city, the capital of Andhra Pradesh State was founded nearly 400 years ago by the Kutubshahi poet King Mohammed Kuli Kutubshah (1580-1611) who ruled at impregnable fort Golconda fort that is just few kilometers from the city. The city earlier named by the king as Bhagyanagar was named- after his wife Hydermahal who was earlier was known as Bhagmati, a Hindu village girl. The city has seen many ups and downs. Golconda and the Hyderabad city were invaded by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 17 th century and the reigning popular king Abul Hassan Kutubshah ( 1672-1687) was defeated by treachery that was the hall mark of personality of religious bigot and fundamentalist Aurangzeb. The fort was captured on 21 September 1687 by treason committed by Abdullah Pani, a low level commander of Army. The fort was over run and kingdom was annexed to Mughal provinces and the king Abul Hassan Tanasha Kutubshah was exiled and pensioned off to Daulatabad fort now in Maharshtra State where he died in a course of time in captivity (1). The city remained under Mughal rule under a Deccan Subedar (Governor) Chin Qiliz khan. In subsequent years, the governor declared independence in 1724, once the central rule at Delhi became weak and the Mughal rulers became pleasure seeking debauches, worthless, weak, spineless and powerless. He assumed title as Nizam- ul- mulk Asif Jah.

In subsequent years, Hyderabad State was ruled by seven rulers of this Asafjahi dynasty from 18 th century till 1948 when the State was annexed by the Indian Union after a Police action ( Infact Indian Army invaded Hyderabad) when the last ruler Nizam 7, Mir Osman Ali Khan Asif Jah Bahadur, (Brave), Fateh Jung( victor of battles) refused to integrate with India and was perpetuating crimes on local Hindu subjects wrongly advised by his cabinet by unleashing armed Razakar (Volunteers) force with the aim of Islamizing the State and remaining an independent and sovereign ruler in the heart of India duly abetted by Pakistan (2).

The princely State was subsequently trifurcated and Andhra Pradesh was formed merging Telangana areas of the princely State with coastal and other Royalaseema areas of former Andhra State. The city of Hyderabad is cosmopolitan and represents rich culture and tradition and now it has become a popular IT hub competing with Bangalore. It has obtained international recognition due to IT activities. There are many software professionals from Hyderabad working in USA and also sizeable number of students pursuing studies at US universities. Yet, it has become the hub of criminal activities, distinguished itself as the most polluted city and nerve center for all types of crimes, scams and mischief. You name any mischief in India; the origins are always traced to Hyderabad. This is something disgraceful and shameful to the distinguished city of international repute (3).

After merger of princely State Hyderabad with Indian Union, the local Muslims have lost the power as rulers in Deccan and could not reconcile to the new situation till date. Unable to digest the fact of living side by side with Hindus in Hindu dominated India (Although all are equal), they withdrew from main stream of the society and mostly limited themselves to the old city and formed rather ghettos. Religion and hatred plays dominant factor at these places. Poverty and lack of education among people dominates the scene. Most of the people live by small time business and odd jobs, as auto rickshaw drivers, rickshaw pullers, street vendors, scarp dealers, car mechanics, welders, painters, artisans, fruit vendors, tea shop owners and push cart vendors. Automatically they become victims of criminal influence out of deep frustration due to inability to rise in the life.

Hyderabad was the center stage for communal flare ups in India from time to time and earned disrepute in this category. Whenever Israel and Palestine clashed with each other results were also felt in Hyderabad. Hindu temples and properties were attacked. Pro- Pakistani sentiments, sympathy to Taliban and anti Indian feelings thrive and ISI of Pakistan has found a gold mine in Hyderabad as a place for recruitment for their agents for carrying out all nefarious activities against the State. An Al Qaeda unit stationed in Bangladesh that is fast turning into a terrorist haven has close connection with terrorist network stationed at Hyderabad. A portion of population is pro Pakistan, pro Saddam Hussein and even display the emblem of Saudi Arabia on ther vehicles and roams around. Some of these Muslims take more pride in identifying themselves with Arab cause than India’s well being where they live, eat, breed without control and die and get buried ultimately. National spirit is found missing with such characters and they become easy victims to the agents of foreign powers for destabilizing India (4). Now other terrorist out fits such as Lashkar e Toiba, Student Islamic Movement of India, Dargahs e Shahdat, Jaish e Mohammed, Harkat ul Mujahedin, Deendar e Anzuman and many other anti people Islamic outfits thrive in Hyderabad. This is over and above the Naxalites, Armed communists of Communist party of India ( Marxist and Leninist) (CPI ML) who are creating great disorder in Andhra Pradesh by their continued armed rebellion against the State who are committed to the Maoist ideology to establish a communist State in India (5). They believe in the out moded Mao’s slogan of Power flowing through barrel of a gun. Clandestine gun running is very common now a day and country made single shot/ double shot smooth bore pistols and revolvers find their way from northern States such as Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh in to Hyderabad. Even standard brand revolvers and magazine pistols are allegedly freely available for reasonable price in under world. The youth take pride in possessing these weapons and the crime in real estate has helped this business to grow (6).

With expansion of IT business in the city and new International air port and new modern western type facilities coming up at outskirts, real estate business has reached sky high and with this, crimes have also sky rocketed. At some places, an acre of land that was available for few thousands of rupees has now gone up to a Rs a crore per acre. The recent explosions of 2006 in trains in Mumbai have origin in Hyderabad as the culprit Naveed linked to the terror act has planned the act at Hyderabad. Gulam Yagnani who was shot dead in an encounter at Delhi is a Hyderabadi. The local criminals have been linked to the murder of Minister Haren Pandya of Gujarat few years ago. Naseeruddin a local criminal is under custody for the offence. Hyderabad is also famous for the nationally famous scam involving the forged Stamps for land registration documents running into crores of rupees. The culprits are Hyderabad based and one of them disgracefully was also a member of State legislature. They were tried in Maharshtra State. Hyderabad has also become the nerve center for pass port racket to carry out human trafficking involving legislators and members of parliament.. This has sullied the image of the nation internationally. Rashid a key offender in the pass port racket is local and even legislators are involved in this scam. With growth in real estate business, rivalries also are growing and kidnappings and revengeful murders due to land disputes are most common. Notorious race horse owner involved in great scams is an Hyderabadi and thus the list is endless bringing disgrace to the city. Murders involving sexual offences, extra marital relationships, rapes of minors and dowry harassments and murders under the guise of fabricated suicides are regular features in Hyderabad. Co Operative banks in the city have mastered the art of hoodwinking the government and the investors and in the past few years many of these Banks have closed their shutters and the Directors of these Banks have vanished into thin air there by duping crores of rupees from the gullible investors. Now no one really believes a co operative bank in Hyderabad. The government has lost credibility in controlling these scams. Similarly, there are many Chit fund business ( A typical financial business peculiar to India) companies who duped investors to a tune of Crores of rupees. Thus Hyderabad has gained distinction as the capital for financial mischief and as a den of scamsters too (7).

As a highlight, recently Gujarat police has arrested few of their very senior police officers for committing murder of Sohrabuddin and his wife Kausar Bee (Murdered to erase evidence) as encounter on the suspicion of being a terrorist. It is also linked that the AP State police personnel were part of this act and investigations are going on. What a shame? The highest court in the land is monitoring the investigations. The Supreme Court has directed that the Gujarat State’s Director General of Police has nothing to do with the investigation and the investigating police officer would directly report to the court (8). Thus courts in India by and large have lost the confidence in Police organizations. For this state, many confide that only police has to be blamed.

Hyderabad has witnessed a serious bomb blast few days ago at Mecca Masjid a 400 year old historic mosque in old city. A timed device was planted in the mosque when thousands of devotees were conducting prayers and was exploded with the help of a cell phone. Nearly thirteen people(Muslims) died in the explosion and in the police firing that had to be resorted- to in order to quell the mob that went on rampage and rioting subsequently in the old city(9).

An average person in the city is greatly disturbed at the turn of events and about future situation. Obviously Police force is inadequate to enforce law and order in the city. The growing disorderly traffic has no parallel in the world and narrow roads and old buildings, graves and mosques on the road and religious sentiments are the bottle necks for any stream lining activities for traffic. Muslims are highly allergic to frisking and checking at the mosques when they enter for prayers. This is one of the reasons for dispensing with this practice by police. Remote cameras installed for scanning at mosques were damaged by hoodlums. It is alleged that Police personnel are more busy collecting fines from the vehicle drivers than regulating traffic and controlling crime and disorder. The Muslim leaders and opposition parties shout at pitch of the voice that intelligence has failed and Government was responsible for the failure and also for the excessive use of force by the police who went berserk and shot people indiscriminately. There was news in the press that the post mortem reports have revealed that people were shot in the chest that indicates that police shot indiscriminately without any control. Like any other incident, enquiry would be ordered and it would take years to be finalized and probably nothing concrete would come out of this. No one can prove who died by which bullet and who fired it (10). The matter would gather dust and be forgotten and go into the dark pages of Hyderabad history sullying its glory further. Thus Hyderabd has slipped into dark depths of modern history. Who is to be blamed? Obviously governance, any child would say without any hesitation.

Scape Goats... Bomb blasts in Hyderabad

Dear Readers

The culprits of the blast caused in historical Mecca Maszid in Hydewrabad recently are still at large and the police is clueless about their identity. Till now, no organization claimed the resposnsibility for these bombings in which  7 people died in the mosque while  another 7 died in police firings subsequent to the blast. the ciy police commissioner has announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh  for the informers. General  balme is pointed towards the terrorist who engineered a suicide bomb in special police Head Quarters in Hyderabad few years ago, There was not much damage in that blast and only one home guard died. In the mean time, investrigations are on the way on the  use of excessive force by Police that led to allegedly unnecessary deaths. it is reported that the intelligence report  has remarked that there was no real need for the firing and it could have been avoided. The police officers involved in ordering and conducting firing were shifted to other places pending investigations. The photographs published in the newspapes reveal that the  crowd went berserk and  clashed with police immediately after the blasty. There was agreat threat a petrol bunk in the area and it was about to be torched. The police officers  at the site had no time to contact the superior officers and they took on the spot decision to control the unruly crowd that could hace caused greater damage. As it is in the old city at slightest moment and provocation the Muslim crowds  go unruly and it was required to control the situation immediately and the police officers on the spot had to act. the tragedy is that  the issue is being politicised to derive benefit by the political leaders and poor police officers would be made scape goats. With this the junior and middle level police officers on duty  would completely get dempralised and would hesitate to act in future. It would affect the morale of the officers.  The govt has to act tough in such situations. There was panick after the blast. But there was organised violence by the crowds who came out of the mosque and they were joined by the mischief makers. This is a usual practice in Hyderabad. Justice has to be there. National well being in of most importance and all actions to appase a section of the community who are bent on creating disorder should be firmly condemned.

Hyderabad ... Terrorists strike afresh

Dear readers,

The culprits of Mecca Maszid blasts ( three months ago) are yet to be apprehended. In the latest development terrorsis engineered bomb blasts  at two places  in the evening hours on 26 August 2007. One was at Lumbini park  an amusement  which is popular for music fountains and is visited by large number of families in the weekends in the evening hours. Another blast took place at an eating joint called Gokul Chat which is very popular for serving spicy trash junk food for which Hyderabadis  clamor for.  This  small roadside eating place is located next to Andhra Bank at the most busy  and unhygeinic area  called Koti  which was once the area  where the British resident stayed  during Nizams rule before India was granted independence. The complex where he stayed  is  a mini fortress and it is called Residency and  and houses womens college at present. It is believed that at each blast  site 16 people died and scores have been injured seriously. These strikes have been  the  bloodiest strikes in history of Hyderabad and all sections of society have condemned. Police  are yet to  come to some conclsion  on these blasts. However it is strongly believed that  Harkat ul jihadi Islami of Bangladesh  is behind the crime. As usual the leaders expressed concern shock and grief and claimed that they would catch hold of the culprits and punish them effectively. However past performance  is not indicative of this. Sadly innocent lives have been lost , many have been blown off into bits and pieces beyond recognition. Red alert has been declared in the city and State. Few more bombs have been diffused  in the city at different places and police believe that some more may have been planted  in the city. These incidents have become  further additions  to the  infamous achievements to the historic city. There is no doubt that the Jihadis are able to carry out nefarious activities in south India with impunity and Bangladesh , a tiny nation is playing its role in these  activities. Dilly dallying policies, lack of will and appeasement policies of government  are no doubt responsible for  spread of these activities.

Atrocious

The ridiculous part of all this is that nothing useful can ever come of it. Even if the instigators manage to rule the world by terror, there will eventually be nothing for them to take because terrorized people stop producing. Predator societies always in the end collapse under the weight of their own strong arm tactics. Rome must be the greatest example.

I've wondered how much Middle East terrorism (and European Nazism, too) can be linked back to the ancient societies that thrived from raiding merchants along the Silk Road(s). Are the present day terrorists in India in some way ideologically related to the raiders from the north. Are the extremists in Iran ideologically related to those same Aryan raiders? This is not an indictment of Islam. In fact, it is an attempt to reconcile the fact that religion seems unrelated to the ideology behind terrorism except that terrorists take whatever religion they have and modify it to fit their needs.

Dr. Rao, we will be thinking about and praying for the safety of your family.

Groping in darkness...

The death toll in the recent terrorit blasts in Hyderabad city has  sharply increased to 50 and many are suffering in hospitals  at the gates of death. The condition of many sufferers is grim and serious. Wide allegations appeared in press that the medical treatment provided was inadequate. One of the many allegation was that  immediately after the blasts, the response  from the Government was very poor and the injured were taken by people around in autos , private  cars and buses to various hospitals particularly to Osmania  and Gandhi Government hospitals that were closeby and  these centres  had no facilities to  admit and take care of such large number of victims. What a tragedy after celebrating 60 years of independence only  10 days ago. There  were many  visits by all types of political leaders such as LK Advani, Renuka chaudhry ( Who lost her cool), Shivraj Patil ( Central home minister), Echuri ( Communist leader), Chandrababu Naidu ( Former Chief Minister of the State), Venkaiah naidu of BJP and many  small time leaders to make their presence felt and appear in the news. Almost every one was criticising the State government and  its failure in foreseeing the trouble and taking adequate precautions. Although official statements by CM denied all charges, the failure of the government agencies is easily smelt. It has so far not been able to catch the culprits of  Maszid blast that took place 3 months ago.  There were reports that the central agencies have warned of more attacks in city. Police were more worried  about religious places than public places.  The terrorists  have succeeded in killing large number of people  at busy places that police never foresaw.  This can be considered as a failure. The eating joint like Gokul Chat is a street  eating joint and any one can walk in from the road that is the most common practice in India. It is unlike USA where everything is properly organised.  The roads are chaotic, with vending shops  with roadside bars and eating places that abound in India   reflecting the Indian tardy habbits ( culture?.). It is literally impossible to guard all such places. The security at Lumbini Park is in the hands of private agencies and  they have obviously failed. The bombs were   suspected to be made  containing very powerful explosive ( RDX suspected) along with  steel balls  that are generally  used in bicycles. There is no dearth for such steel balls in the city.  Police say that they are on trail of culprits while some of the opposition members demanded resignation of CM Rasekhar Reddy. His removal  will not solve the problem now and will create more confusion now.  In fact the country has no strict law to prevent the crimes and put behind bars  the suspected persons  . Under previous central regime  POTA ( anti Terrorism act) act was evolved that was used aginst suspected terrorists and the present government coolly  scrapped the act as an appeasement policy towards minorities. Most of the terrorists are found to be Muslims  and these acts are seen counter to Muslim interests and to gain sympathy of Muslim voters such act was scrapped,  The results are obvious. Terrorists have grown bold that India is free for all now and they can get away  after doing everything. The cvountry has not executed Afzakl guru who was the culprit for attacking Indian parliament. The appeasement policies of the government just for catching Muslim votes is bringing disaster to the nation day after day. It is very unlikely that  the culprits would be caught and punished  under present policies and situation. However  let us hope  wisdom would prevail on those  who are at the helm of affairs that protection of public life is their prime responsibilitythan mere collection of fines on the road for  driving without helmet, jumping the signal lights, harassing two wheeler drivers and car owners for petty road offenses. Public confidence in administration, its ccompetence, abilities, genuine will, commitment and fairness has been shattered.

No where to go..Fear stalks Hyderabad

 Dear Readers,

Hyderabad has been limping back to normal after the twin blasts that left nearly 50 dead and many seriously injured. As usual, the government   declared some monetary compensation and promised jobs to affected. The shopping malls and picnic spots that are usually crowded every day are found desolate with fear lurking.  Business a  is deeply affected with drop in the strength of customers and visitors.  Police are still hunting for the culprits and   suspect foreign hand in these blasts. Many have been taken into custody and are being questioned.  The suspicion is mostly towards Bangladeshi terrorists who have good net work in the city. However nohing concrete has emerged. As time flows, the incident gathers dust as it happened earlier many times and the tempo dies down.  The government wants to constitute a special anti terrorist force to tackle situation as if the present set up is inadequate.  In Hyderabad there are innumerable foreigners who are overstaying VISA limits and have merged into local stream. Many even managed to get driving licenses, ration cards and many more facilities. Bangladeshis do not look different from Indians and one can not find out them.  Muslim women wear Burqa and veil and can not be traced easily. Already there is a crying around that innocent Muslim youth are picked up by the police and are    being harassed.  Muslim clergy have met govt leaders to plead for their release. Slowly this would be twisted by the local Muslim leaders in their favor and as usual Government would hesitate to take strict action and Hyderabad would return to free for all situation as usual.  Let us hope culprits would be caught and punished quickly. International reputation of the city is already tarnished and one would be not surprised if foreign companies back away from the city in view of the terrorist threat. That would be a bad day for Hyderabad and would directly point towards the incompetence of the rulers in controlling the mischief.

Dr K Prabhakar Rao

Hope for Light

Dr. Rao,

This is certainly a tense situation from what you are telling us and from what I've been able to find out on the 'net. Distrust, fear, anger and subsequent hate are the opposites of the faith, hope and love necessary for human begins to live in harmony—especially in a city as large as Hyderabad. For me, the telling signs are that the instigators of this unraveling are doing their best to undo what people struggle to build among themselves when they build complex civilizations.

It's clear that there are those who build up and those who tear down. The Khmer Rouge in Cambodia and the Cultural Revolution in China are examples of attempts by powerful groups to tear down civilization so as to rebuild it according to their own warped ideations. We must not fail to recognize present day Fundamentalism in any other light than just such another attempt to destroy what it is among the many, for what a minority dreams might be. Civilization marches on, but it does not thrive under bleak authoritarianism and terror.

Our hearts and minds are with you and your fellow citizens as you struggle against these pirates. May you not lose faith, hope or love, in spite of the dastardly deeds of cowards and their accomplices.

Deaths afresh in Hyderabad

Dear Readers,

Hyderabad is again in the news of negligence by administartion rrsulting in  death of its innocent people. This time in a different way. This ancient city without any organized traffic control has chaotic roads and all plans of government to improve go for six with public indiscipline and lack of civic sense.  Many flyovers are being constructed in city at vital places to ease traffic congestion. Too many two wheelers, three wheeler taxis, bullock carts, some imes camels and cattle,  agricultural tractors, off road farm  tractors, manual rikshaws along with  small and big cars  are driven in a free for all fashion. Traffic lights do not function properly. Police  men are busy in collecting fine from the erring drivers than controlling and guiding traffic. They hide at the turnings and pounce on two wheeler drivers all of a sudden harass and book them. Traffic control is left to winds. Youngsters driving two wheelers do all types of pranks on the roads and get away. Indians settled in USA arriving into India on holiday would never venture to drive and are dead scared. There are buses and lorries emanating smoke like railway engines. Once in a while some cranks propogate that vehicles of fifteen years age should be scrapped. There is a strong lobby of car manufactures to boost up sales by forcing discard of old cars. But India is not America.  People can not change cars often. This is a poor country. But money flows under the table including the authorities. Common man suffers.

Panjagutta cross roads and somaji guda roads leading to the air port are most busy with traffic snarls every day. One such long fly over under construction at Panjagutta collapsed; last night after a down pour. Numerous cars that were passing beside the fly over at lower level were trapped under falling concrete and were crushed along with inmates. There is no confirmation on death toll. This could be any where between twenty to thirty and many have been seriously injured. With congestion and people visiting to see the site and to enquire about their near and dear, rescue operations have become more difficult. Cranes arrived much late and this is the field time for all the small time leaders and leaders of opposition and dissidents in ruling party to hurl comments at the chief Minister who visited the scene.  The supporting scaffolding and its girders gave way causing   pre cast concrete slabs in position to collapse. Earlier fly overs were built in situ and were cast in site as a standard practice. Now the technology has changed. These fly over are being constructed like in USA where pre cast beams are brought and erected by cranes.  The only difference is the integrity of the contractors and work force. The entire process of construction is corrupt in India with commissions and share flowing to those rights from top to bottom. Naturally all standards are left to winds and slip shot work results.  Poor scaffolding, improper design, non adherence to safety norms, poor factor of safety are the results taking the lives of innocent people. Now the street leaders are shouting to book the contractors and slap murder charges against them. Then what charges should be slapped against the municipal engineers who supervise the work and ensure standards?  Now people are really scared to drive on fly overs and go near them.  Recently in Pakistan too one fly over fell down that was completed. Why not? They are no different from Indians. Blood line flows.  Some even remarked that even in America a bridge fell down in a river recently taking many cars and occupants with it. The Bridge was visited by the President of America too. Why worry for Indian accidents? The slip shot administration is leading to all miseries in this third world city where lives of people are having least value.  Bundles of notes are dictating every event and god save the people of Hyderabad. At least the tragedy is not linked to some terrorist work. That is the better part of the day. Some one has not yet come with that allegation yet

Police on leather hunt and wild goose chase

  CULPRITS NOT YET IDENTIFIED

The Hyderabad police is on a leather hunt and wild goose chase to identify and catch the culprits involved in the twin bomb event. Although the hand of Hakat ul jihadi Islam, a Bangladeshi terrorist outfit is suspected, there are no concrete proof given by the authorities. The hunt is going on. In old city many youngsters have been arrested and are being interrogated. With the sudden rounding up of suspected characters many links to various incidents that took place are being found. But all these are loose ends and need to be firmly established. In earlier incidents, bombs were exploded at Saibaba temple at Dilsukhnagar a very busy commercial and residential locality, Task force Head quarters very close to Chief Minister’s residence, Mecca Maszid and now at Lumbini park and also at Gokul chat a eating joint. All these suspected are from Muslim community and some are evading arrest and are absconding. Police also identified Bangladeshi youth men and women who are overstaying their period and are hiding in city. They are also going through education at colleges while some are doing small time roadside business. The police obviously no clue about them although the immigration authorities have to keep a check on some offenders who have jumped Visa regulations. There are many persons probably in the city and Bangladesh is linked to these terrorist activities and has found it safe place for pursuing their goal of destabilizing India. After Kashmir the terrorists have targeted Hyderabad that has lot of Muslim around and is a good and safe hiding place without detection. Hyderabad is notorious for many such illegal activities including marrying off of young Muslim girls to the visiting elder Sheikhs for money. Poverty, lack of options is forcing the poor Muslim parents to these activities. The city is in tight grip of police eye and with the onset of Hindu festival Ganesh( elephant God) pooja ( Worship) the fever is running high. At the end of long festival period all thee Ganesh Idols are taken in big procession and are submerged in a Lake in the city. Invariably police expect communal trouble on these actions. In past there have been incidents that led to communal riots and every year every one including police organization keep their finger crossed. With current situation police are extra careful now. The fact is that the culprits are at large and time is passing away and the incident is fading from memory of people. Invariably lethargy sets in after time and terrorists would find another opportunity soon. The hunt for the mischief makers should be most vigorous (Probably it is ) and catch them at the earliest and award exemplary punishment. The trial and judicial process should be extremely fast which is doubtful. Even now Afzal Guru the terrorist who carried out attack on Indian parliament is in jail awaiting hanging. Why India is scared to hang him is not known? Terrorists in Bangladesh know very well that law in India is very weak and it is free for all and they know that they can easily escape gallows and become heroes. There is a immediate need to completely change the law proceeding against terrorists and make the process rapid and exemplary. Otherwise terrorists will have a field day in India. ?

Groping in Darness... yet

Dear readers,

                                                Groping in darkness….yet

The hunt for the terrorists responsible for twin blasts in Hyderabad is still on. Recently police has arrested Rizwan Ghazi (19 years old) a suspect from Bangladesh owing connection to Harkat ul Jihad Islami in Bangladesh was arrested at Secunderabad railway station along with some more youth under suspicious circumstances.  Rizwan Ghazi entered India illegally and stayed in West Bengal for some time before he moved to Hyderabad the casino of terror in India.  His sister studying at Chennai was recently taken into custody. He joined a Madrasa in Kishan Bagh in the old city and he tried to contact Muslim youth from Madrasas in city and also from Muslim minority Institutions in the city for which there is no dearth.  How much he could succeed is not known.  His involvement in the blasts is to be proved and as per the information revealed by him, he was active in the city. Recently, there was news that Bilal who is believed to be behind other terrorist activities and claimed to be dangerous terrorist was killed in a shoot with unknown men in Pakistan. It is not sure whether he was   put to death by ISI as a cover up operation.  It is also believed that the news is only to side track police hunt and to plan bigger events when police goes into hibernation that their target was already dead. Police is still not clear and the chase is still on to catch the English wood duck that is not there.

Dr K Prabhakar Rao

On wood duck chase.....

Dear readers,

His involvement in the blasts is to be proved and as per the information revealed by him, he was active in the city.He also  came in contact with Muslimuddin and khaleel who are at large after the blasts. These men were engaged in petty Business in old city too.The tragedy is that guys were here without any permit illegally and police was completely clueless.  Bangladeshis  freely are  in and going from India  that indicates police failure to an extent. It is also true that a section of Muslims in the city are  with these Jihadis.

On the trail of English wood duck

Dear readers,
Although  many days have passed  since the twin explosions took place in Hyderabad, Police are  still not sure about the origin of blasts and are unable to lay hands on the real culprits, However police claim that Bangladeshi terrorist outfit Harkat ul Jihad Islami is responsible for the blasts in Hyderabad. A Muslim Bangladesh youth Rizwan  who  has escaped police  hunt was  arrested recently while his sister was nabbed some time ago. He was caught along with some more youth at Secunderabad railway station. this youth came to India  illegally in 2003 and stayed at west Bengal before he moved to the city of Hyderabad. He joined a Mardrasa in Kishan bagh of old city and left it . He along with one Muslimuddin and Khaleel  from Bangladesh  indulged in  some petty business and also  planned  anti national activities. He  procured petrol to make bombs. When the twin bombs exploded recently the two youths  vanished and at last Rizwan was nabbed. It is  now known that Bangladeshis are reaching city in good numbers without proper permits illegally and police  has no clue about it. A section of Muslims in the city obviously are abetting these activities. These can be attributed to police short comings and are required to be corrected. The tragedy is that police   is still on a English  duck hunt  which is not there.

Clue less still....

Dear readers,

Lot of water has flown under the carpet  eversince Twin blasts in Hyderabad took place. The police are still running around clueless claiming that  they would soon grab the culprits.  They are  concentrating most on Bangladeshi nationals  who are staying in twin cities in large numbers without detection.  A good number of them are caught. But real culprits are  still to be identified. As per the information revealed by  one of the suspects caught by police, nearly 10 Kg  of RDX is  in the city and the concerned terrorists are planning to target religious places to cause  more blasts. This has put Police on spin and they are  having a tough time . The material is still to be unearthed. Peoplke are still at large. In nutshell police  are still in dark and  as time passes away  the chances of catching the culprits becomes  more difficult. As stated earlier the police are stll after the English wood duck that is eluding and  probably it has escaped to London its native place. The terrorists who actually  triggered the blasts might have excaped the net back to Bangladesh or to Pakistan.

Terror going strong.... still

Dear readers,

Recently  terrorists exploded a bomb  on 12 October 2007 in the   most revered Dargah ( venerated grave ) of Hazrat Chisthi in Ajmer  located in the State of Rajasthan in northern India. This Dargah dates to   12 th century. The saint came to India in 1190. Most of the Sufis were persecuted in Iran and they escaped to India where Muslim kings were consolidating their power. The bombs was planted just 20 yards in front of the main entrance of the Dargah with in complex and  two persons died in the explosion. Another was diffused that did not go off. This Dargah is  very ancient  mausoleum of a Muslim Fakir  and Sufi Saint Khwaja  Mohiuddin Hasn Salim Chisthi who preached universal brotherhood and it is visited by all including Hindus and Muslims  and others with great rerspect. One of the person Sayyad Salim ( 42 years) killed in the blast belonged to Hyderabad and  it has been learnt that he runs a shop in Ajmer. 28 people suffered many injuries in the blast. The police of Rajasthan suspect that  this person is suspected to be involved in the blast as they found some  wires and parts of electronic hardware on his body that are  generally  used in  triggering the blasts. The investigations are under way and the exgratia announced by  the Rajshtan Government to the victim has been cancelled.  Once again Hyderabad  has beeen associated with   such nefarious activities.  It is most shocking to note that  most of te terrorist activities planned in the country  have moorings at Hyderabad that has become an haven for these terrorists .mostly having international links.
