LENIN WEEPS

                          LENIN WEEPS

Prof Dr Colonel (Retired) K Prabhakar Rao

In the heart of Delhi, the capital of India

There are certain souls who are busy pulling down those in power

These are the red flag brothers of the departed Marxist Lenin

Who have fallen down from the ideals and  lofty tower?

Communists in India are now a broken lot

Who are holding on to variety of a tree?

The guys have forgotten the Lenin’s code

And happy that at last they are out of Russian bear hug and free

Many guys are scared now to hold the  musket and gun

That was the dictum of Mao and Lenin

The guys are happy in air-conditioned rooms of parliament

And every busy in plotting schemes  of instability in white linen

The communist guys catching votes no doubt ruled Bengal

They for many decades remained in power

The poor have remained much poorer now

While many have lost their holdings and fallen from the tower

Lenin’s dreams are now the forgotten ones

While the guys want to stick to the chair

Politicking is the only game they can play

However they also  claim in politics all is fair

The guys are now pulling down the government

After withdrawing their shaky support

All these years Mr Singh* was nearly blackmailed

Although he  as economis enjoyed a great rapport

* Singh… Man Mohan Singh.. Prime Minister of India

The Communists are now no lesser than any other degraded political party

In playing games of convenience and ploy

The vision and hopes seen by the great Lenin

Are now ruined by the   ever tricky and chameleon guys

While the white coat communists play the game in Delhi

Maoists play havoc in  Orissa and    Jharkhand a northern state

Police guys are killed like mere  birds and sitting ducks

And people are left to suffer in miserable fate

Democratic communists are no different from others

And are busy in plotting the games of digging and leaving others in lurch

The country goes through the state of chaos

And the people   can only pray in temples and a church

Anti american

Dear readers,

The politiccs in India are fundamentally  based on politicking. Opposition parties in India have only one aim. That is how to destabilise the governmnet . They will be looking all the time to find loop holes  to defeat the government on the floor of House on some pretext or other.  The time of absolute  majority in politics is over now and it is the time of coalition politics. Scores of politicl paties are in the fray now.  and  entire political parties are divided on issues like Hindutava,  Muslim appeasing, Gandhian, Nehruvian,   Leftist, semi leftist, oppertunist and regional, south dominated, Dravidian based. anti Hindi based etc. Although every party  claims that it is for  unity of nation , every one is pulling in  different direction and destabilising the  nation. None is for national well being. They want to hang on to the chairs. Countries like USA and England have two party system and they are really wise men. Abdul Kalam  former President also advocated the two party system. He has drawn wrath of  communists. He was denied second term  as President. Communists, CPI and CPI M are vehemently against  much claimed Pro American nuclear deal by India. They withdrew support to  UPA governmnet headed by Man mohan Singh (guided by Gandhi family of course.) Every one knows that he is the care taker Prime minister till Rajiv Son is installed in the chair. They may not agree. Communists  have always been against BJP and  at all costs wants to Keep BJP out of power.  Hence they supported UPA government  forgetting all Communist principles and norms.  With present political drama, communists are no different from any  national or regional party in India  whose only aim is to cling to power. It is suffering from all the ills of the present   parties. However they put a brave front as holy cows displaying communist flag that has lost all its relevance. These parties have realised the futility  and difficulty of armed struggle and chose a safe and comfortable route to occupy chairs. If they take up gun they know that life is difficult and would be hunted down. A communist is the speaker of parliament now. He does not want to resign now and wants the chair. Chair is more important than party ideals for some persons. Lenin must be laughing at all these men from the heavens and feeling sorry for them.

Horse Trading ....ala...Indian style

Dear readers,

The governmnet of Mr Manmohan Singh won the vote of confidence by slender margin. There were few absentees during voting. It is good the government survived and the country has been saved from the elections. The communists have been shown the place rightly by the government. Enough of blackmailing by them all these days. Now the speaker who is from communist party but in white clothes has to resign. Horse trading  might have been  behind the show no doubt. There was a chaos when  some  members  displayed currency that was offered to them  right in the parliament house.  TV channels  scremed it  is the blackest day for Indian democracy as if nothing of this sort  happened earlier. These horse trading tricks have been the part of the game. Late PV Narsimha Rao the former PM  of Congress government was accused of    purchasing the MPs to survive the   no confidence motion.  These tricks are nothing new to Indian  parliamentarians. Some time ago Members of parliament were exposed  for taking money for asking questions in the pariament.  Such shameful acts are part of these white clad men  who represent Indian masses who vote like asses. People get the government what they deserve.  If they vote like  asses during elections what they get  is of same breed and clan. They do not  produce lions or tigers. Any how, the government survived.  The communists  shall have no face now. They will feel sorry for  loosing their  position at the power center. Bad luck to them.  However there is nothing much to get  delighted. The present governmnet has  engineered grreat  price rise and common man is greatly suffering although the  finance minister puts a brave and smiling face that he has done his bit of best in  bungling the show.None is free from blame.

Sticking like gum..Indian political style

Dear readers,

The crisis in Indian political scene is over wuth winning of confidence vote by the  Governmnet of Dr Manmohan singh. Speaker  Somanath Chatterjee  who belonged to CPI M ( Member of former coaliion partner) stuck to the chair and refused to resign when CPIM group withdrew support to the governmnet. He is stuck to  his chair as glue or  used chewing gum. They tried to turn heavens and earth upside down to defeat the governmnet. But tragically failed.  They joined BJP their staunch  enemy in voting agaisnt the government.   Somanath Chatterjee  did not resign even after his party lost its face. He wants the chair and also power and perks associated with it. This is the  general opinion. Now CPI M party  threw him out of the party from the primary membership. The person who  remained loyal to the communist party for  40 years was  most unceremoniously  has been shown the door.  Some say it  is the desperate act  by Polit beuro of CPI M. But that was the correct action. The episode has proven that even hard core communists once tasted power are ready to go to any extent to cling to power at all costs. No other example is required than the Chatterjee  episode. Communists are no different from the usual Indian trade mark Political parties who are  indulging in never ending horse trading. Only CPI ML is keeping itself away from this  drama and are  struggling with guerilla war the Mao doctrine. These democratic  Communists  are  no way superior  and  are a part of the  dust bin politics in the country. What a fate to communists indeed. It is no wonder the world in general threw them out.

Stuck like chewing gum

Dear redaers,

The communist for the last 40 years the speaker of Indian parliament is  sticking to his chair like a used chewing gum. He  occupied the spaekers chair after CPI M supported the coalition Government with sole aim of keeping BJP party out of power. Otherwise Somantah Chatterjee would not have been elevated to the speakers chair.  When CPI M  withdrew  their support the speaker  should have also resigned being the member of the party. But power of chair  took better of him and he chose to ignore the party. What a tragedy for a person who  rubbed shoulders with Communism for 40 years, This also shows how hollow he  could have been all these years in his commitment to power and ideals. The present scenerio has exposed the hypocracy of the individual. That is preach some thing and do some thing. CPI M threw him out of party. The most correct thing done by any sane  party for violating discipline. Now the speaker claims the post as a tenure post  and says he need not resign.  That  means  hell to ideals and ideologies in order to enjoy oficial position, status and clout. True. In politics one must remeber George Bernardshaws statement. That explains every thing. Whether he is a street politician , a speaker . minister or  or any one in politics.

Happily ditched...

I once belonged to a political party

That carried the red flag bright

I served the flag for  forty long years

But never I had to shed any tears

I occupied the  coveted seat as parliament member

And I  have maintained myself as bright ember

Several times I fought and won elections

Always succeeded in these selections

Atlast the days of reckoning came after great feats

The red flag party won some  good seats

The party could now be be in a place of advatage

The tricks of politics have become the part after the age

I was elevated to the coveted post  in parliament

I was put at the top of embankment

I put on neat white clothes oh dear

For my own party men now I had no fear

Happy days went on over the time

several times I sipped water and lime

I even told the courts to  mind their  business and work

While   I struggled in my work as a clerk

Then came the nuclear treaty with America the super power

W acted as if we were on top of tower

My party twisted the tails several times

Those at top  forgot to sing nursery rhymes

The drama of black mail went on for long

The top guy  finally could not get along

Hell to you guys he said at last

While the red party was looking aghast

The party withdrew its support to the  Congress

And also declared at height in the press

At last at last the prime minister quipped

To collect the votes horses he  whipped

Red party joined hands with staunch  foe

While many were looking like simple  doe

The guys in red danced  in haste

Saying that congress was doomed and  has gone waste

Al;though I was a red stuck to my seat

That I got after several  a feat

I decided to ditch my  guys at crucial  event

And decided to stick like a coiled serpent

I stuck to my seat like a  used chewing gum

The seat  and post for me was plum

Hell to the red flag men

And decided to stay back in my den

The confidence vote was  won

The voting itself was a big fun

Currency was displayed in the great house

Where the members shouted like a field mouse

The reds  have lost the face in this war

For such things  they thought there was no  bar

I stuck to my seat with a thick glue

While within myself I wsa  having the flu

The reds at last  woke up

After drinking the morning tea cup

The first they did was to throw me out

And I was  sent out of party with all their clout

Now I am free and relieved

Lesat I find myself grieved

I have my own seat  for me now

That I manged to hold on some how

The glue that stuck me to seat was nice

For which I had to pay heavy price

I know the seat is  at best for one year

For this period now I have no fear

It is fine I ditched my  friends

Such things happen political errands

I have to wait and see what will happen after year

Then I have to see and feel the inevitable fear

Then I can not go back to my men

Who will claw me at their den

Better I join some other  national parties

And  enjoy the life at guest house  sorties
