Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh religion too, found the faith having seen the ills in the contemporary society of 16 Th century in India that constituted Hindus and Muslims, few Buddhists and Jains. The society was plagued by the ills such as caste, creed, idol worship, Pardha (Veil), Sati (Self immolation by widows), discrimination of women, dowry system, show of wealth and mutual hatred.

But tragically, the human societies do exactly opposite of this and are at each others throats most of the times. What is wrong with these societies? Why they fight each other? Why they can not see reason and stop fighting? Does religion sanctify wars? These are some of the intricate questions to be answered.
