Musunoori Kapayya Naika was dynamic ruler who liberated Telangana in Andhra Province from Mohammedan rulers in 14 century.Telangana was ruled by Kakateeya dynasty and the last ruler was Prataparudra II. However  Velama rulers of Rachakonda  and Deverakonda joined Musilms agaisnt Kapayya and  finally this resulted in death of Kapayya in a battle near Warangal. He ruled for 36 glorious years and upheld  Hindu flag. He had national vision and  resisted oppression of Muslim rulers tooth and nail. Heissi the true son of  soil.
