It is widely known that Osama bin laden the supreme infamous leader of the murderous outfit along with the coterie and Taliban is hiding in Waziristan of Pakistan after escaping from Torah Bora bombings in Afghanistan (1).…Al Qaeda is no more limiting itself to hiding in Waziristan. Its interests are increasing day by day. It is making presence felt in the world politics. Pakistan serves as an example (6). The world may soon witness AlQaeda-Taliban ruled Pakistan with nuclear weapons in their hand.

Just learnt that a Ghayabana Namaaz-e-Janaza is going to be held for Benazir Bhutto after/with Friday prayers at the Masjid-e-Farooq-e-Azam in Concord, California. I am told it is off the Clayton Exit, across from the Safeway and near the BART Station and there will be a prayer meeting (Du’a) at the BART Station afterwards.

At least a couple of people have wondered why I haven’t posted anything on my blog. Folks have been asking why I haven’t posted anything. Been distracted because my wife and kids were enroute to Karachi. Finally had them rerouted directly to Delhi from Hong Kong, skpping Karachi for now.

Assassination of Benazir Bhutto will upset Pakistan

President Musharraf finally shed his uniform recently after great international pressure and assumed the role of civilian President. The emergency has been lifted that was a marshal law in fact. Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sheriff, both former Prime Ministers were in the arena of elections that are to be held shortly in January. Recently Nawaz Sheriff has been barred from contesting elections and as far elections are concerned his fate has been sealed to return to power. Benazir Bhutto who was prime minister twice was for all purposes were destined to become PMi again after the elections. In fact Musharraf came to some understanding of power sharing with her before he shed his uniform. Musharraf has pardoned her off the court cases against her. He made sure that after shedding uniform he was safe from any Government actions against him.

Over the past fortnight, even since the crisis in Pakistan broke and eclipsed every other geopolitical story, including Iraq, US officials and analysts have been speaking in different voices on the subject of a jihadi takeover of Pakistan's nuclear weapons. Apart from India, Pakistan is the only country that has nuclear weapons in the region of sub continent. Thanks to the past US administration that turned Nelsons eye while Pakistan was pursuing the weapon programme under its very nose. Some also believe that USA has clandestinely supported the programme. There is a general fear in the world that the nuclear weapon technology should not pass onto the Muslim countries from where they could find way to the murderous Islamic terrorist outfits and even Mullah dominated Iran and pose threat to world as Islamic bomb. AlQaeda has gained importance after Russian withdrawal from Afghanistan and grew by leaps and bounds on the foundations of hatred towards Western civilization.
