The show of strength came three days after U.S.-led warships finished naval exercises in the Gulf that Iran branded as "adventurist” Iran remains locked in dispute with the West over its nuclear program, which Washington says is geared to producing atomic weapons but Tehran says is only for generating electricity. Iran’s state-run media reported that one of them was a modified Shahab-3 ballistic missile, which has a claimed range of 1,250 miles and could theoretically deliver a one-ton nuclear warhead over Israeli cities. Love and forgiveness are complimentary
Submitted by K Prabhakar Rao on Sat, 06/21/2008 - 09:54. Alexander buddha forgiveness guru gobind singh Hatred jesus krishna love Porus warLove and forgiveness are complimentary and cannot be separated from each other. We invariably forgive those whom we love. We also do not forgive those whom we hate and do not like. But is this correct? Lord Jesus has preached that one must love and forgive even enemies. He practiced what he preached. This is evident from his famous utterance when he was crucified on the cross. He said “ Oh father forgive these. They do not know what they are doing” ( Luke 23:34 CEV.) (1). But how many of us can emulate him? Think of Sept 9/11. Americans went hammer and tong against AlQaeda worldwide after the uncalled sadistic bombings on US main land at New York. President George W Bush declared” I want Osama Bin Laden dead or alive”. However President George W Bush recently declared that this was a mistake and he should not have said these words that alienated Muslim world from America . Mr Bush said, “ Well I said dead or alive after Sept the 11 th. It is an unfortunate statement I made. But inherent in the statement is our desire to bring him to justice” (2). Past is past. It cannot be undone anyhow. But fact is that Americans have not forgiven the terrorists although Gospel preaches to do so. Thus we find that in practical life, we come across many situations where it is not possible to follow the Gospel in true spirit. In India MK Gandhi was shot and killed by Nathuram Godse in 1948. Godse was tried and hanged at gallows. There was no forgiving. There was no reduction of sentence to life imprisonment. People craved (A section) for Godse’s blood. Probably many felt that it was a revengeful hanging by the Government that was led to power by MK Gandhi. King Czar and his family were shot dead by the communists after great revolution in Czarist Russia in last century. There was no pardon for the czar. They were just cold blood murders. True. Communists do not believe in Christianity or any other religion. Murder was a fair play for them as a part of revolution. But it is claime that Christian world has not taken note of section Luke 23:34 in true spirit of preaching and practice. .....................
SIMI IS ON THE RISE AGAIN SPREADING FAST AND IS A SERIOUS THREAT TO INDIA
Submitted by K Prabhakar Rao on Mon, 04/14/2008 - 11:31. Blind faith in religions Hatred intolerance jihad terrorism ViolenceThe Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) was formed in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh state, in April 1977. SIMI's founding president was Mohammad Ahmadullah Siddiqi, reportedly professor of journalism and public relations at the Western Illinois University. SIMI originally emerged as a student wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH). The stated mission of SIMI is the ‘liberation of India’ from western materialistic cultural influence and to convert it into an Islamic society. SIMI have been influenced by Deobandi Islam which is a Muslim revivalist movement that started in India in 1879. It is perhaps most famous in the west as the philosophy of the past Taliban government in Afghanistan. Its slogan is "Allah is our Lord, Qur’an is our constitution, Muhammad is our leader, Jihad is our way and Shahadah is our desire". Among its various objectives, SIMI aims to counter what it believes is the increasing moral degeneration, sexual anarchy in the Indian society as also the ‘insensitiveness’ of a ‘decadent’ west. SIMI maintains that the concepts of secularism, democracy and nationalism, keystones of the Indian Constitution, are antithetical to Islam. They aim to restore the supremacy of Islam through the resurrection of the Khilafat, emphasis on the Muslim Ummah and the waging of Jihad.
