Medical education in India

In India reservations have been implemented based on caste and now even Muslims are given reservations in various fields. This continued policy of reservations after gaining independence has caused untold damage and bitterness in society and the very purpose has been defeated. Now people are more concerned about caste. It is more entrenched in society now. Merit has disapperaed long time ago in the selection process. Tremors were already felt after report of Mandal commission was released and was about to be implemented. The leaders are taking the country to disaster by the short sighted policies. At some stage in India caste war is inevitable and probably Balkanization of the country based on caste can not be ruled out....
