The Lesson of Jeremiah Wright

The exposure of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's Victim Gospel is merely an opening window peeking into the seedy works of victimhood preaching in particular, and to the church's widespread and divisive, sheep-versus-goat teachings in general. Both of these philosophies indulge parishioners' want to be comforted in their perceived afflictions, rather than encouraged to grow spiritually through adversity. This is not a true reflection of the teachings of Jesus. It's just the message that best sells.

HELL AND HEAVENS

Every human being wants to lead a happy life as long as he is alive. No one really knows what happens after death. Every one on this earth follows some religion or other and every religion preaches some thing about life after death. Can Jesus Save Non Christians and Those Who are not Baptized?

Can a non Christian be saved by Jesus when he has faith in the Lord? This is an intriguing question that torments many. In fact all religions preach that Lord (God) is full of love, compassion and grace. The human response to God is purely individual and no intermediate person or facilitator is required. Islam is absolutely clear on this aspect and there is no priestship in Islam. Then why the religions have introduced some ceremonies, rituals which have become almost compulsory to identify a person with the religion? Christianity has prescribed baptism while Islam and Buddhism also have different methods to undergo before a person is accepted into the fraternity. Is it essential to become a Christian, Muslim, Buddhist or Hindu to get salvation or reach God in other terms (Except Buddhism which does not dwell on God)? Does God save one because he also belonged to his stream of thought (Religion)? Does it mean that all others who do not subscribe to one stream of belief are destined to go to hell?

Deny it we may, claim to have it safely locked away in organizational membership we might, but pursue it we must. Yet many are those imprisoned by its impostors, few are those who recognize it, and even fewer those who find their way to it. It is the human condition.

The Aspect of Human Realization and Salvation in World Religions

Purpose of man’s existence, the origin of universe, existence of God, soul and super soul and life after death, Satan, paradise and hell have always been intriguing factors to the people of all religions. All world religions are fundamentally aiming at realization of the truth and salvation by their followers and have accepted the presence of God as a force of unmatched potential, attributes and infinity. While some are rigid that the God of their religion only is the ultimate, others are tolerant and are prepared to accept Gods of all religions as one and the same. While certain religions particularly of Eastern origin believe in the cycle of birth and death and transmigration of souls, Semitic religions believe in the Day of Judgment when one’s fate would be decided. Therefore, the aspect of Realization and Salvation in a man’s life is most important as the purpose of every religion is to attain salvation that is freedom from the cycle of death and birth or attaining the paradise by it’s followers. These aspects are discussed:
