This event\, presented by the Black/Africana Church Studies Program at SMU Perkins School of Theology\, will explore the theme of “The Beloved Community: Resisting Domination.” \nKeynote speaker Dr. Jason Shelton\, Professor of Sociology and Director of the Center for African American Studies at UT Arlington\, will share insights from his groundbreaking work on religion\, race\, and the dynamics of the Black Church.
