All the Christians believe in the God. God exists outside the universe that he created. Humans are made in the image of god. God has no variations while humans are varied in appearance, conduct and thinking. God is spiritual while humans are in possession of physical existence. Humans can think and decide what is good and bad and are capable of taking decisions accordingly. All world religions believe in God in some way or other. In certain religions, God is seen as entirely independent while others view God and world as one. These two are the two extreme assumptions and beliefs.

WHY PAY TO SEE GOD?

Temples are the centers of religion in India where from centuries temples played great role in preserving belief in God and scriptures. The bye-gone kings and emperors apart from important nobles and rich people constructed most of the Hindu temples in India. The kings also granted endowments and lands to the temple for the maintenance and preservation and conduct of various religious rituals. Every person has the right to see the God. However the caste system in India in past played havoc in society and the untouchables were denied entry into temples in the past till recently. This was most cruel and insulting. But the practice continued in spite of many reformist movements in the country. Only after gaining independence such practices were abolished and was also made an offense. Yet at many places the practice goes on and regular reports in newspapers are found to that effect.

The Problem with God

Perhaps the greatest barrier to sociable and fertile discussion between religious and non-religious folk is the question of God.1 God is THE defining barrier between Theists and Atheists—for example. And almost as potent: defining God or gods separates adherents of one religion from another. That is: Theology is perhaps the most divisive undertaking in human history—next to war, anyway. Kinda seems backward, doesn't it?

God is Sought Where Answers End and Mystery Begins

Is God immanent or transcendent? Are we made in God's image, or do we create God in our own? These are common and ancient questions. But I'm asking another one these days—one that seems to better suit my quest. And that question is this: where is God to be found?

God is Love? An Expert speaks.

Syndicated from: The Gates of Horn - Gateway to the Inner Realms on Sat, 03/22/2008 - 09:16

When I was an evacuee during WWII I lived with many sets of foster parents who included Congregationalists, Baptists, Methodists, Church of England, Plymouth Brethen and a few other very minor Christian cults. Half of the families were convinced that the English version of the Bible that they used was literally true. All of it. I even suspected that some of them thought that Jesus had existed, for the personal benefit of their trifling sins, and spoke English.
