State of our Faith: DISD Bond Propositions

Whether or not you have voted yet in Dallas County, you are likely confused about the bond propositions at the very end of your ballot. Advocates say they will not increase the property tax rate, but it says RIGHT ON THE BALLOT: “This is a property tax increase”!
Join us as we speak with DISD Board Member Miguel Solis about why passing this bond is so important, what will happen if we don’t pass it, and the impact on public schools when state lawmakers require that all school district bond proposals include “this is a property tax increase” language on the ballot, regardless of the impact on local tax rates.
